September 2021: The Seven Day Switch by Kelly Harms

Where do I begin?

Before I decide on a new book to read, I read the book description and glance through the reviews. Wow! After reading the five, four, three, two, and one star reviews or ratings, I was compelled to read The Seven Day Switch.

While I was intrigued with the premise of Harm’s story, I believe she or her team of marketers decided upon the wrong categories on Amazon and other book sites, if her book is available on them.

The Seven Day Switch is a satire about homemakers versus women in the workforce with a magical twist.

Celeste, a stay-at-home mom, and Wendy, a successful career oriented mom, clash from their first meeting. Do they dislike each other because of their individual life choices, personality differences or are they regretting their own lifestyles?

When the two women drink too much sangria one night at a neighborhood potluck dinner, they wake up the next day in each other’s bodies and realize they have to stay the course for the other person’s everyday commitments and responsibilities for their families’ stability.

In this day of snap judgements, I appreciated Harm’s story. I do recommend reading The Seven Day Switch to form your own opinion. It’s a good read, and I won’t forget it for quite a while.
