I was completely immersed in this story of love, loss, friendship, and family and relationships, not only told in one timeline but two distinct, perfectly intersected tales.
Nick captured my heart while he dealt with his own grief and Oliver’s, his son, along with bearing in mind how his late wife’s family would react when he begrudgingly moved on with his life.
When we were taken back to Nick’s childhood, I rooted for him and his two best friends, Eric and Alex, as they faced each other’s hardships in search of a brighter future.
The ending of Prowse’s story couldn’t have been better. I cheered. I cried. I highly recommend reading The Light in the Hallway.
